The portable Toaster light gives off a warm, candle-like glow and can be switched on or off by gently touching its spikes. The design draws on early 20th-century household objects, when electrification paved the way for new consumer products, and designers often borrowed the language of silverware to familiarize people with them. What we now see as ordinary appliances were once treated with care and ornament. The large Toaster light runs for approximately eight hours on a charge, the smaller for around twelve, and both can remain plugged in without harming the battery. They charge via USB-C. Made to order with a production lead time of approximately four weeks.
